LA PROBLEMATIQUE DE LA MOBILITE URBAINE: L’ACCESSIBILITE DU CENTRE-VILLE DAKAROIS PAR LE SYSTEME DE TRANSPORT COLLECTIF ROUTIER

The very rapid evolution of Dakar urban space, the specificity of the city to its site and the crisis affecting the transportation system leads us to think about accessibility to the centre - town of the users of the road transport. Thus, the theme of accessibility (like that of the city and mobility) is addressed in a conceptual and theoretical framework. In fact, heavy trends
facing the urban transport system. These trends are essentially demographic and spatial, dynamic high polarity of the shelf born spatial imbalances and dysfunctions noted in the urban transport system and manifested by a mismatch of supply relative to demand. These different heavy trends reduce accessibility to the historic centre of Dakar, particularly in users living in the outskirts of Dakar, whose financial resources are sometimes limited and that, yet make the vast majority of the urban population. This decrease of accessibility is highlighted through an elongation in terms of time, distance metric and social and
economic costs. While transport policies implemented are rarely up to the expectations of users.
