this study examined the economics of crayfish production,
processing and marketing amongst the rural women in
Rivers State.
Primary and secondary data were sought for the
study. Three sets of questionnaire were developed and
contacts were made with the producers (fisherwomen),
wholesalers and retailers in the twelve Local Government
Areas that make up the riverine areas of Rivers State
nomely; Akuku-toru, Andoni-Opobo, Asari-toru, Bonny,
Brass, Degema, Ekeremor, Ogbia, Sagbama, Southern Ijaw,
Wakrike and Yenegoa.
