Western Development as the prevailing transnational Third World model of development, has been in crisis. This monograph presents arguments that illustrate the author’s indignation towards Western development’s theories and praxis, especially as applied in Africa.
The elements of a genuine, liberating and empowering participation from-the-buttom-up are given due recognition and the plight of the non actors in current development is taken as a point of departure. What it takes and how to organise participation more meaningfully in the future are explored in depth.
