This book is a well thought out articulation of the philosophies, behaviour patterns, belief systems and customs of the Igbo of South East Nigeria. It examines these using a subtle historical perspective that traced these issues from the prehistoric to modern times and conducts descriptions and discussions of the Igbo culture. Furthermore, some experiences encountered by Ndigbo which slightly changed the Igbo world view are discussed. The book represents the utilization of the sociological imagination to create the Igbo world. It promises to be a Bible to many people and will surely enjoy a wide readership and will attract the interest of students, Sociology and Anthropology teachers, and the general public young and old and even posterity. Caroline Okumdi Muoghalu holds Ordinary Diploma in Accountancy from Plateau School of Accountancy and Management Studies, Jos, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She bagged her Master of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2000. Dr Muoghalu also received a Doctoral degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
